1. Cleaning
Before beginning the epoxy flooring installation, we first clean the surface thoroughly. We use a concrete floor orbital grinder and a hand grinder on the floor surface to clean stubborn stains and spots. We ensure that the floor's surface is free from dirt, dust, and all sorts of contaminants.
2. Preparing the Floor
For the floor's preparation, we caulk any of the seam lines in the garage that we think need filling. After that, we bond cracks, if there are any. We also take a closer look at the whole surface to see anything needs to be sealed. In case there is any existing sealant coating, we remove that before applying an epoxy coating. Our floor experts come prepared, and they wear the required safety equipment to do the job.
3. The Application Process
After preparing the floor, we begin to chip in the epoxy to make the beautiful design you have personally picked. We apply the coating with a roller. We come back the next day to assess the floor's condition and scrape the access chips off. After that, we sand the floor to make it smooth. It will take around three to four days for the floor to cure. You will be able to walk on it 1 day after the top coat of polyurethane is applied (depending on the weather condition). If you are going to put something heavy on it, use cardboard or a thick decent blanket. This will reassure you that nothing will damage it.
